Dragons Business Network
We meet every 2 weeks we meet on St. Asaph Business Park in the Technium Optic building. The meetings are structured to ensure that each member has an opportunity to let members know what sort of business they are looking for at the moment. At each meeting one of the businesses will have an opportunity to expand on their organisation and explain their USP to other members. We also include a regular session on specialist hints and tips for improving your business and networking skills. Breakfast is a part of the meeting, as is the opportunity to network freely before and after the meeting. After all a business network without networking would be pointless! We always attempt to complete the meeting by 8:30 am to give members the opportunity to get to their first appointment of the day or to network with members.

Approximately 3and a half years ago Paul Williams from Commodore Finance was doing some insurance work for me and I happened to mention that I was looking to develop my business as a mobile mechanic and he suggested I give dragons networking group a try. After some thought I soon realised I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a go and have been a member ever since. I soon realised that dragons worked very well for me and I soon started to get the referrals in. Of course it’s not all about the referrals it’s also a great place to meet new like minded business people and to make some good friends.
Approximately 2.5 years ago I bumped into Paul Williams. Paul and I knew each other in a previous life whilst working for the Pearl Assurance. At the time of meeting Paul I had not long started working as a consultant with The Will Writing Partnership. Paul invited me to attend a meeting with the Dragons and I have been a member since then. Not only does membership provide good quality referrals but it also offers great friends and opportunities to expand my own personal development. So, many thanks to Paul Williams for his initial invitation.

Since deciding to join Dragons Business Network in 2013 I have benefitted from building mutually profitable relationships. Throughout my membership I have made valuable professional connections and lasting friendships. The relaxed nature of the group has also helped develop my presentation and networking skills, which has subsequently had a positive impact on my business. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending DBN as a friendly networking group to develop your business.

As a busy IT Consultant my time building my business is as important as the time spent with clients, but, as every business owner knows; generating more business is critical. As a member of Dragons Business Network I have found the group to be an amazing resource, not just for generating qualified leads, but also for gaining advice, training and ideas. I have done a lot of networking in the past with a number of groups but none have provided the ROI that Dragons Business Network has.
